DeeEss's Daily Blog
You might as well get something to drink and get comfortable, this is going to get long. So without further a due I guess I'll start out with whats been going on as a whole so far this year. My job has shifted gears dramatically this year. It's kept me busier than ever before. I've never really had the time to game very much at all but somehow i've managed to get alot in anyway. With working 7-10 hours a day 6 days a week and then trying to spend as much time with the wife as possible i'm usually relegated to about 4 hours in a day for gaming. Usually between 10PM and 1Am at night. That makes it hard to have any interest in other games that come along. Gator has gotten me into a lot of other racing games, but with little time to really get into them they normally just fall by the wayside or just get ignored entirely due to being so focused on the other games I’m already into with what limited time I have. As far as my main gaming is concerned beginning of 09 my focus in gaming changed dramatically. I had been mainly Quake2 all of my PC gaming years mixed with alot of SimCity 3000, Simcity 4, and NASCAR Racing 2002. Toward the second half of 07 I got into F.E.A.R. hardcore from the LAN Arena I owned at the time and then NASCAR Racing 2003 with the newly formed BTR racing league and Call of Duty 1, both from alot of pushing from Gator. In the first half of 08 Gator changed gears just as I got into Call of Duty 1 very heavily as well as the 18 Wheels of Steel series. NASCAR Racing 2003 received no attention as well as F.E.A.R. Quake 2 was still on my plate pretty heavily though. IN fact at the end of 08 I had a good interclan BTF 1vs1 Tourney going for Quake 2. In 09 it died, although it has seen some sparks of some form of forgotten life. It still might be possible to resurrect it. But like I said though, in 09 my focus shifted dramatically. NASCAR was starting and I wanted to get the league going again. So far that has proven to be a very fruitful venture. But it just isn't NASCAR that took my focus as you'll soon read in this blog. The major impact in my gaming this year has come from a much unexpected game. One that I thought would never have any impact on me what-so-ever. That game has been Oblivion. Except for NASCAR it has single handedly destroyed any and all interest in any other game I’ve played. And throughout this blog you will soon find out why. So what makes this game so dammed great for me. Well for starters the game NEVER ends. It continues on forever. After you have finished the main quest, all side quests, and all faction quests, the game can still continue. In fact I’ve started over again about 4 months ago and haven’t even started the main quest yet. Second is my Character. It is unique. The character you make at the beginning of the game is yours and yours alone. No one else can have the same one. You don’t start out with a premade character and follow a premade script like most games. You design it from the ground up when you start it. Bone structure, skin tone, age, build, hair, facial futures, everything. Thirdly is the companions. You can download and/or find in-game you own companions to follow you into battle, help you on quests, or just hang around your house. Yes you can have your own house. Several in fact. The forth and most fulfilling is the mods. OMG the MODS !!!!!! They just go on and on. It has in itself distracted me from playing the game. The content i’ve downloaded is ridiculous. And now to make matters worse I’m currently doing my own MOD. It has taken up 90% of all my gaming time. So what I’m doing right now is nothing less that astronomical for me. I’ve picked out two areas in Oblivion where I am building my own home and a massive Lodge called Greensview Lodge. Basically think of SimCity and the Sims in the first person perspective and you can kinda grasp what it’s like for me. The screen shots that follow may in some way bring you to a better understanding of what I.m doing and why I’m so dam much in love with it.
This first screenshot is where on the map i've picked out for my new home and where the new lodge will be.
It's on the Waterfront Distract just south of the Imperial City. The large circle is the location of the Lodge and the smaller circle is where my new home will be located. The two will be linked.
This is where my new home will actually be built.
This will be the view out of my front yard.
Once the new home is built my two favorite companions will finally have a plave to call their own. Yes these are my two companions Raewyn and Aliyah. I rarelly go anywhere with out them. That's me in the middle BTW. And thats my Gold Coast Farm house. We seem to be looking at the sunrise. LOL
This is the land i've picked out to start building the new Lodge.
Here's the same piece of land. I have managed to contract the the removal of all the trees and large bolders and had the land raised and leveled up so it will be above the surrounding areas. It's a privacy thing you know. Plus it just will look dam awsome towering over everything else to.
Once the land was ready building started pretty quick. The outer structer moved along nicely. But at this time it's just an empty shell.
This is a shot of the rear. I plan on a court yard, custom swimming pool, etc.
This is a shot of where my private area will be. I'tl be fenced off and have a direct path leading to my new home across the creek to the west.
Here is where the open indoor/outdoor bar and grill is going to be located. As you can see the deck is already laid, although it is growd up with grass currently. Also note that on the third floor is where the Bar keeps room wil be located.
There is alot of work ahead of me for the interier of the bar.
Work will begin soon on the bar keeps third floor room.
Here it is now that we have finally got the flooring and walls in. Also got it access through the far door. The bed is in but it's not near ready to move into yet. It still needs the rugs, desk, and fireplace. Once the fireplace is in I'll move the deer head over it.
Well here it is almost complete and ready for the new Bar keep to move in. Although there are still a few things that need done. Lamps, Paintings, a Dresser, Chest, etc, etc.
Well thats it for now. I'll post more on it when I managed to get a few more things done.
Later all, till next time.

Re: DeeEss's Daily Blog
Looks great! i have had interest in that game since i first watched a fellow worker play it. When the time is right, i will get it.
Keep up the good work.
Also, thank you so much for all of the hard work that has gone into BTR09 CTS and BTR09 COT. It has been the best year we have ever had. Your website has been great entertainment, and i think we all wait in anticipation for it to be updated each time.
