Well, after lots of practicing and time invested in setups, the race was still a challenge for most everyone involved.

Gator, MED, Mike Oleniuk, Death Stalker, fx, and a new guy Jared Berman made the effort to tame the undriveable track. When time came to race, fx had sound card issues, and i am not sure if MED qualified or made the start.

As the green flag flew, Death Stalker, and Mike Oleniuk pulled away with me in trail. The three of us broke from the crowd. There was an early spin, of which i havent researched yet. The three of us pushed each other, everyone keeping clean and giving thier all. Death Stalker eventually ran wide, allowing Mike Oleniuk to take the lead. i pushed to catch Mike as DS started to fall off. Eventually Mike started running wide a bit, and his pace fell off. i was able to get around him and started to pull a gap. i raced staring at a open, clean, unpopulated track most of the race. A nice safe place to be. My setup never felt great, but my lap times were enough to keep me to the front. After pitting, Mike really closed up the gap and stayed within about 1.5 seconds of me, eventually getting to within .5 seconds at one point. A couple times, a car almost ran me over entering turn 3. Not sure if it was a bot, Mike, or maybe even Jared Berman. Somehow at the end, Jared worked his way around Mike. Something about my line was very different then this car was running though, it was actually scary having my mirror filled by an approaching car that must have had 40 to 50 more mph of speed then me, not sure how contact was missed!

In the end, people placed as listed:
1st - Gator
2nd - Jared Berman
3rd - Mike Oleniuk
11th - Death Stalker -2 laps
15th - MED -10 laps
16th - fx -11 laps

i am not sure if MED or fx made the green. i am pretty sure fx at least started very late. Thanks for trying to race even under those circumstances. The activity by ALL is appreciated.

My replay is here:

It does seem the "new guy" usually tends to do well here. Mike made an impressive entry a week ago, and now Jared shows up and runs strong. Thanks for racing with us guys, hope to see more of you.

Several were unable to make this race. h8 wasnt around, fx was having issues, MMS wasnt able to make it. i suggest we try to run this race for anyone interested each night at 10 pm this week for any who want to run it. So if you have the time and desire, show up at 10 pm Thursday or Friday night for more of the same action. Maybe the weather will be different this time. Wednesday night's race ran at 61 degrees and was quite cool. The track did feel better then 74 degrees though. My setups are for 84 degrees, so i need to come up with better battle plans for the multiple challenges this track offers. This track changed more with temperature then i have seen most others do.

Thanks again all.

load up Aero88, we will run the races in that mod for a while.

The server is now set to aero88. its all cts mod physics, so i assume your setups should work about the same.
