BTR to host a Rolex 1-Hr of Daytona !!!
In the spirit of the Rolex 24hrs of Daytona we will be hosting a Rolex 1hr of Daytona using the tptcc2 mod and an updated Daytona road course.
The race will be held on the RC server at 7pm on Feburary 16th, 2012.
Here are the files you'll need if you don't already have them.

Sorry I missed this one. Got held hostage by Saints Row The Third, it put a gun in my face and wouldn't give me permission to play anything else until I beat the game with 100% completion, hehe. Seriously though, GREAT game, fun as hell. I remembered a day or two ago that we planned on starting up the 2012 season sometime around the middle of February, so this is the first time I checked back here to see the schedule. Kinda bummed that I missed this race. I guess it was a road course type race, so I probably would've just crashed out in the first 5 laps anyway. Still, I did say I was pretty excited about this new season, and then I miss the VERY FIRST RACE OF THE YEAR! I suck.

No biggie man, we had fun anyways. It was a GREAT mod. One of the best i have driven in NR2k3! We ran Daytona Road Course, in honor of the 24 Hours of Daytona the weekend before. It was actually a very fun road course race, we had alot of close racing all race long.
i would look forward to driving this mod again anytime in the future. TOPS TOPS TOPS.

To get its full effect I strongly suggest watching it with the tptcc2 sound pack. Just make sure to back up your original sound folder.

I'm using some kind of "more realistic" sound pack for the engine/tire/crash/etc sounds that I found as well as the Jimmy Johnson spotter sound mod. I installed the TPTCC mod last night, kinda glad it had an option for NOT installing and overwriting the modded sounds I'm using.
I got the idea to possibly make my own spotter sound pack. I have some recording studio software with modulation effects I could use over my recorded voice to create a radio effect. I dunno, it'd be a lot of work.
I tried doing a few laps on that track and JEEEEZ was it hard. Only had the steering help set to 50% and it kept wanting to enter the road course turns really wide, like starting from the outside edge of the track entering the turn and then cutting it close in the middle of the turn. I kept wanting to enter the turn with car in the center of the track, and the steering help kept pulling the wheel to the high side of the turn, making me fight against it and spin the car out, lol. Probably would've been bad news if I was there, might've ended up crashing someone else out with me.
