i am leaving saturday morning, and returning late Tuesday.

i'll be around from Wednesday on.

Almost cancelled this race because the track is just to durn tough to master.
But me and jawsh played on it for quite some time tonight and both had finally got a setup that rocked.
We was bringing the Track to tough to tame to it's knees.
I forget exactly what jawsh came up with but i think it was in the low 31s, I finally nailed a 31.144 by myself and a 30.697 (i think) in a draft.
It just takes practice with a good set up.

Here is my set up.

http://deathstalker.tastyspleen.net/NASCAR/DarlintonDS.cts.sim

It goes in loose then slightly tightens back up toward exit.
But it is still an extremely loose set up. I race it with Traction control OFF so i can still power slide it but with Stability control ON so it isn't quite so easy to get away from me.

Notes about the track.
Whatever your set up, set it up for the narrow turn, make sure you can get in loose, bring it to the middle loose then bring it out tight so it doesnt pull you to the apron. If that happens it will sling you straight to the wall on exit. The reason for it being tight on corner exit is to bring you out of a sideways slide. The track straightens and so must your truck.
If you can get through the narrow turn the wide turn will be of no concern. Just remeber though, on the wide turn it's faster to stay at the top of the track because of the way Darlington is, the grip on the wide turn is up top. Just let off the gas a little to settle the truck into the turn then imidiatly right back on full throttle through the rest of the entire turn.

On the narrow turn i let off the gas completely right at the first red arrow on the prefered line marker to drop the front end causing it to dig in and break the rear loose in order to get to the middle on the bottom, then midway into the turn i slowly hammer the gas back on raising my front end to shift weight back to the rear wheels in order to let the trucks tight exit set up do it's job. If done right you will come out of a slide right at the exit and be going straight.

Hope this helps.
